Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of several different natural chemical components known as cannabinoids derived from the Cannabis plant. CBD is a natural, safe, non-addictive substance that has proved to support a multitude of therapeutic needs for both the mind and body. It does this by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS), a collection of cell receptors and molecules responsible for maintaining our physiological and biochemical balance. CBD influences this balance to regulate natural homeostasis.

Finding your optimal dose and products is key to seeing the impact of CBD. There is, however, no magic formula when it comes to dosage as it largely depends on the symptoms and conditions you’d like to treat in addition to your weight and your unique endocannabinoid system. We recommend starting small (10-20mg) and gradually increasing the amount (5mg) every 2-3 days until you reach the desired effect. 

Here's what this would look like when using our tinctures:

1,000mg —> 3 drops = 15mg

2,000mg —> 2 drops = 20mg

Though CBD comes from the cannabis plant, it is an independent compound that contains little to no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and does not have the same ability to get you high. THC is what can produce a psychoactive high, euphoric effect. 

Though most of our products are free of THC, our full-spectrum products contain less than 0.3% THC, and though it is unlikely that this amount may appear on a drug test, we do not recommend full-spectrum products for anyone who might have to take one.

CBD is non-addictive and is generally safe for everyday use though we advise consulting with your physician before taking any hemp-related products.

CBD, CBN, and CBG are different compounds derived from the cannabis plant. CBD is the most abundant and well-known compound, but the additional compounds found in the cannabis plant provide their own unique set of benefits.

CBG (cannabigerol) is known for its energy-boosting effect that helps consumers concentrate. And CBN (cannabinol) is the oxidation byproduct of THC, producing a mildly psychoactive version of its former self, which aids in sleep and relaxation as well as several other benefits.

It depends on the person and the way of consumption. Typically, if you take a softgel or a gummy, the effects can take anywhere from 2-4 hours because the CBD has to go through the digestive system. But consumption orally can be felt within 30 minutes.

Full spectrum CBD means that the product contains multiple forms of CBD and other natural components derived from the plant as CBG, CBGa, CBD, CBC, CBN, and up to 0.3% THC.

Broad-spectrum CBD contains all the same compounds as full-spectrum CBD, minus THC.

CBD isolate contains CBD only. None of the other cannabinoids and plant compounds are included.

CBD oil is the extract from the hemp plant, and hemp seed oil is from the seeds of the plant.
